my whole family went on a cruise last week for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. that's such a long time to be with someone! we had such a good time. i may have been the 7th wheel but it was really nice to get to spend time with both of my sisters, their hubbies and my parents, relaxed and light for an entire week. one of the coolest things that i got to do was go scuba diving. i was really bad at the whole take-the-mouthguard-out-whilst-underwater-then-put-it-back-in-without-drowning thing. the whole time i was under i had a literal jaws of life clamp on my mouthguard. if it had come out of my mouth i probably would have died. or popped my ears on the swim up 20' to the surface. either way, scary. it was so super fun though – i only wish there was somewhere warm and not murky around home to do it again!
